Tooth Recontouring

Occasionally the edges of the teeth get chipped and look uneven. If it’s a small area, simple reshaping or recontouring can level them. If the area is too large for smoothing, then a filling can be done to level the edges.

Teeth Whitening

Over time, drinking coffee, red wine, smoking cigarettes and simply aging can darken the color of teeth. The most conservative and simple way of transforming the smile is through teeth whitening.

Tray Whitening

A customized plastic tray is made for each arch. The whitening solution is included in the package and the process is done at home for 2-3 weeks depending on the desired result and initial discolouration.

Zoom Whitening

This is an in-office teeth whitening service that is accomplished in 90 minutes. The teeth are whitened using a special light. We track the before and after shade of the teeth. It’s the fastest way to get brighter teeth.

Good to know: Any teeth whitening process will only lighten natural teeth that have not had any dental treatment. If a tooth has a filling, veneer or crown it will not lighten. Not every tooth will whiten to the same extent. Results will vary.

Bonding is a great option when fixing small areas. It is most commonly used to fix chipped or broken teeth. Basically it is a plastic white filling that is made to emulate the missing part of the tooth. It is blended it to match the tooth exactly.

Orthodontic Treatment

Invisalign Logo

Invisalign is a removable clear aligner system

This is a series of customized upper and lower removable plastic aligners. The severity of the original issue will determine the number of aligners needed and the treatment time. They are changed frequently (every 1-2 weeks). Progress is tracked by checking in to the dental office every 4-6 weeks. The aligners are virtually invisible from a sociable distance. The main benefit of removable aligners is ease of eating and oral hygiene. The final result can only achieved if compliance is 100%. Clear aligners must be worn for 22 out of 24 hours. If that is not achieved, treatment time will be extended.

Six Month Smiles
Six Month Smiles is a fixed clear brackets and wire system

This is a short -term orthodontic solution for similar problems that would be treated with clear aligners. The only difference is that it is permanently fixed in the mouth. It cannot be removed which makes it the number one benefit….the teeth are moving 24/7. Treatment time is limited to 4-10 months based on the severity of the original issue. Patients are required to come into the office monthly for adjustments. The brackets and wires are definitely less obvious then the traditional metal brackets and braces. This is a great option for those patients who want the treatment done quickly. In some cases, the teeth can be moved by the next cleaning interval.

Porcelain Restorations

Porcelain restorations are used to completely transform a smile. A porcelain restoration may be a veneer, which is simply a facing on the front of the tooth or a crown/cap, which completely covers the tooth. Both of these procedures allow the tooth to have a complete shade and shape change. The number of teeth treated can be 1-28, depending on the situation.

The most common issues addressed with Porcelain Restorations are:
Excessively spaced teeth
Crowded teeth
Mask discoloured teeth
To repair old dentistry that has broken down
Excessively worn teeth
Creating symmetry in uneven smiles
